Jerusalema Dance Challenge

We simply couldn't miss the opportunity to join the world in the one and only Jerusalema Dance Challenge! Creating this video and learning all the dance moves was undoubtedly some of the most fun that we have had!

Jerusalema, a gospel song created into an upbeat version by Master KG and Nomcebo, is making waves throughout the world! The lyrics are profound and the song has quickly become the heartbeat of Africa and its deeper meaning, a beacon of hope in the chaos of 2020.

The translation from Xhosa to English is...

Jerusalema ikhaya lami(Jerusalem is my home) Ngilondoloze(Guard me) Uhambe nami(Walk with me) Zungangishiyi lana(Do not leave me here) Jerusalema ikhaya lami(Jerusalem is my home) Ngilondoloze(Guard me) Uhambe nami(Walk with me) Zungangishiyi lana(Do not leave me here)

Ndawo yami ayikho lana(My place is not here) Mbuso wami awukho lana(My kingdom is not here) Ngilondoloze(Guard me) Zuhambe nami(Walk with me) Ndawo yami ayikho lana(My place is not here) Mbuso wami awukho lana(My kingdom is not here) Ngilondoloze(Guard me) Zuhambe nami(Walk with me)

Ngilondoloze(Guard me) Ngilondoloze(Guard me) Ngilondoloze(Guard me) Zungangishiyi lana(Do not leave me here) Ngilondoloze(Guard me) Ngilondoloze(Guard me) Ngilondoloze(Guard me) Zungangishiyi lana(Do not leave me here)

The song and these lyrics speak to what is possible for the human soul to achieve. Have we guarded and walked with others? Have we helped them in their moments of despair? Have we been thankful for every blessing that we have received?

Jerusalema is the rhythm in our hearts right now, may it bring us joy, hope and optimism, even when we are faced with so much despair. May it also encourage us to walk with others and support others, guard others and uphold them too!

We hope that this video brings a smile to your face!
